Wicked (2024) Sing-A-Long

  • FIRST STREET: OUTDOOR SCREEN First Street Manchester, England United Kingdom (map)

Sing-a-long with Elphaba and Galinda as they navigate their friendship in the magical Land of Oz.

Ahead of the new Wicked film Wicked: For Good (in cinemas 21 November 2025) SCENE are celebrating all things Oz - you could even say we're holding space for it! - with a day of full of witches, wizards and yellow brick roads. It's been 125 years since L. Frank Baum's first Oz novel was published and his world and characters have endured to this day, letting us dream of escaping over the rainbow.

Following our afternoon screening of the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz, join us for the untold story of the witches of Oz in this 2024 "prequel" based on the stage musical Wicked. With themes of friendship above adversity and breaking free from society's shackles Wicked proved to be a huge hit with audiences.

At this outdoor showing you can sing loud and proud with words to the songs on screen throughout and defy gravity together.

Join Elphaba, a young woman with green skin, as she navigates life at Shiz University and forms an unlikely friendship with the popular Galinda. Their bond deepens as they encounter the Wizard of Oz, leading to a series of events that ultimately shape their destinies and transform them into the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
